About & methodology
Useful models need visible boundaries.
Tools for Ecommerce publishes lightweight browser-local calculators and file checks for routine merchant operations.
How methods are selected
Each calculator uses a plainly stated arithmetic model suited to its task: unit economics subtracts entered variable costs, reorder points combine lead-time demand and safety stock, and CSV tools inspect the text you supply. Methods and definitions are explained beside each tool and in guides with worked examples and linked primary references where a standard definition matters.
Inputs, estimates, and limits
Results are estimates based on your inputs, not a substitute for contracts, current platform rules, source records, accounting, tax, legal, or inventory advice. Fee schedules, demand, returns, attribution, and supplier timing change. Check assumptions and test important decisions against your own systems.
Testing examples
Displayed examples use deterministic input sets and are checked against the same calculation functions used by the site. Boundary and invalid inputs are tested so error states remain understandable. A passing calculation does not confirm an import or business decision is correct.
Privacy and editorial dates
Calculations and file processing run in the browser; this site does not provide a server-side workspace for your inputs. Published and reviewed dates refer to substantive editorial review, not build or deployment time. We do not claim specialist certification or an affiliation with commerce platforms.
